Our History Community

Discover more history, heritage, and culture happening around us.

History doesn’t stop at the doors of an Ealing Historical Association lecture. There are societies, museums, libraries, theatres, archives, researchers, and community groups doing fascinating work across Ealing, London, and beyond. Our Community is a place to share some of the events, exhibitions, talks, and activities that we think may be of interest to our members and visitors.

Some of the events below are organised by local organisations and societies; others have been shared with us by people working in the wider historical and cultural community.

PLEASE NOTE: These are not EHA events. We are sharing them because we think they may be of interest to people who enjoy history.

If you have an event or activity you’d like us to consider including, get in touch.

The Gang of Three

1–10 October 2026 · King’s Head Theatre
13–17 October 2026 · Richmond Theatre

What happens when three close friends all believe they should lead the Labour Party?

The Gang of Three, a new play by Tom Salinsky and Robert Khan, explores the extraordinary friendship and rivalry between Roy Jenkins, Denis Healey and Tony Crosland, set against the political and economic upheavals of 1970s Britain.

The play brings together political history and personal drama, following three men who were united by friendship but increasingly divided over what Britain (and the Labour Party) needed.

Although rooted in the politics of the period, this is also a story about the people behind the history. And, we’re told, it’s a funny one too. The production originally played at the King’s Head Theatre before transferring directly to Richmond Theatre as part of its national tour.
